The UV filter of the "F:X Pro" series is an extremely practical screw-on lens attachment that mainly ensures that the ultraviolet component in sunlight is specifically blocked and does not lead to unwanted colour distortions. UV light is invisible to human eyes and can very easily have a disturbing effect on image sharpness - it can be very problematic, especially with strong detail magnification.
