RØDE Stereo VideoMic

The RØDE Stereo VideoMic is a high-quality stereo microphone designed for camcorders, digital SLR cameras, and compact audio recorders. The two high-resolution 1/2” condenser microphones are arranged in a fixed X/Y configuration, producing a remarkably natural stereo image while simultaneously reducing noise from the rear of the microphone. The Stereo VideoMic is ideal for capturing ambient sounds and live performances. For dialogue and other applications requiring pronounced directionality, RODE recommends the RØDE VideoMic or VideoMic Pro. An integrated shock mount isolates the Stereo VideoMic capsule and the electronic circuitry from the housing, effectively capturing low-frequency noise and vibrations. The shoe mount features a 3/8” thread on the bottom, allowing it to be attached to a microphone stand or boom pole. The frequency response ranges from 40 Hz to 20 kHz and can be limited with the 80 Hz high-pass filter to avoid low-frequency interference. The pad switch (-10 dB) is located on the back and is ideal for loud environments such as live concerts and motorsport events.
