Everyone knows and is aware of the dangers that LiPo batteries pose. Some have experienced a pack going up in flames, and everyone understands how dangerous this can become. The ro-safety XL is the protection for LiPo batteries that actually works. Developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aerospace engineer and passionate model flyer, the idea came to him when his house almost caught fire due to a LiPo battery incident.

The ro-safety XL is designed for charging and safely storing batteries. The charging cables are routed through a flame-resistant opening to the outside. In the event of a battery fire, any pressure that builds up inside can escape. This occurs through the upper ventilation holes; at the same time, the smoke is filtered, preventing harmful substances from escaping. Inside the box, temperatures can reach up to 800 °C during a fire. Thanks to the special insulation of the box, the bottom and side walls can heat up to a maximum of 80 °C. The escaping gas will not exceed 150 °C.
