RME Audio RME 12Mic-D

The RME 12Mic-D is a remote-controlled 12-channel microphone preamplifier that offers uncompromising A/D conversion, integrated Dante, ADAT, and MADI connectivity, as well as a variety of features that make it an ideal companion for professional recordings.

The connections and features include a headphone output, four XLR/TRS microphone/instrument/line inputs, eight XLR microphone/line inputs, redundant power supplies, Word Clock I/O, coaxial MADI I/O, three ADAT outputs, optional optical MADI SFP, two Gigabit Ethernet ports (802.3 compliant), and USB for firmware updates and remote control.

The 12Mic-D introduces a new core technology. In response to the evolving landscape of network audio solutions, the RME development team has designed a powerful device platform that ensures unmatched flexibility and stability for years to come. Everything has been developed from the ground up according to RME's core principles. By integrating Audinate's Dante IP Core on a custom RME FPGA platform, RME provides a highly flexible solution and moves closer to the goal of a truly universal audio network solution.

All device states can be controlled directly via the front panel with encoders and multiple buttons, allowing convenient access to all functions. Additionally, RME AVB devices can be fully controlled remotely via a web interface or any network connection, including Wi-Fi, enabling quick creation of gain groups, activation or deactivation of phantom power, and routing of signals to the headphone output for monitoring. The integrated routing matrix allows for quick routing of any analog input as well as all digital signals directly to the headphone output, simplifying the resolution of signal, clock, connection, or other issues.
