RME Audio M-1620 Pro

The RME M-1620 Pro converts 16 analog line-level signals (switchable per channel up to +24 dBu) to and from MADI, ADAT, and Milan networking technology. This innovative device features a newly developed front panel that combines LED level meters with a display and offers two separate headphone outputs for monitoring—all within a 19-inch rack occupying just one height unit. State-of-the-art converters and flexible internal routing make it a leader in any audio network. RME places great emphasis on reliability, equipping the M-1620 Pro with built-in redundancy. This includes two network and two MADI connections, as well as a monitored DC input in addition to the internal AC power supply. A unique system clearly signals when a problem occurs, ensuring smooth operation. Thanks to its full stand-alone capability, users can adjust device settings directly on the unit for quick changes or retrieve complete custom presets. The Milan-certified model sends and receives up to 128 channels at 48 kHz (96 at 96 kHz, 64 at 192 kHz) with precise, fixed latency over a deterministic network. It reports its status and configurable options to controllers via the open standard IEEE 1722.1 (ATDECC).
