RME Audio Bob-16 O

Bob-16 O connects 16 XLR outputs to two Sub-D inputs (channels 1-8 and 9-16). This breakout box supports all interfaces with analog Sub-D outputs as well as the following RME devices: M-32 DA, M-16 DA.

Practically, this corresponds to a simple Sub-D breakout cable from/to XLR connections, but avoids the disadvantages of such a solution through a professional 19-inch rack design (cable chaos, susceptibility to damage, connection issues). In this way, all 16 XLR cable connections can be made via a 19-inch rack instead of behind the computer. Bob-16 is compatible with the TASCAM Sub-D format, like all RME devices.

The revolutionary flip-frame allows rack angles and handles to be mounted on either side of the housing, so that either XLR connections or Sub-D connectors can be arranged on the front of the rack. This eliminates the traditionally rigid separation between the front and back of a rack device and ensures flexible integration into any connection environment.

A groundbreaking feature is the ability to fold the housing in the middle and arrange both connection sides on two rack units. The device is essentially folded in half like a sheet of paper, bringing both narrow sides together. This allows all connections to be placed on the front or, alternatively, to be space-saving and securely connected on the back.
