Directional condenser microphone with supercardioid pattern, robust metal housing, and weather-resistant. It features three electronic buttons with status LEDs, a high-pass filter (75 Hz), pad (-10 dB), and switchable presence boost. The frequency response ranges from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with high sensitivity (25 mV) and low self-noise (16 dBA). The maximum sound pressure level is 135 dB. The microphone supports phantom power (12 V, 24 V, 48 V) and has an operating LED. Dimensions are: length 22.5 cm, diameter 2.2 cm, and weight is 126 g. Included in the package are a RM5 stand mount and a WSNTG4 foam windscreen.
The NTG4 is positioned in the RØDE lineup between the classic NTG-1 and the flagship NTG-3. Self-noise and sensitivity have been significantly improved compared to the NTG-1. New are the electronic switches on the microphone housing, which allow for the activation of the pad, high-pass filter, and presence boost. The latter is ideal for compensating the inevitable high-frequency roll-off when using a furry windscreen directly at the microphone. Each switch has a status LED, and the NTG4 remembers the last used settings for the next use.
