RØDE Ntg2

The RØDE NTG2 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone designed for professional film, video, television, and other production applications. With its wide frequency range, low self-noise, and delicate audio quality, it is excellent for film and synchronization tasks. Weighing only 161 g, it minimizes fatigue when used on a boom pole. The frequency range spans from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and can be limited with the 80 Hz high-pass filter to avoid low-frequency noise. The NTG2 can be powered by a AA battery (1.5 V) or P48 phantom power supplied by professional cameras, audio recorders, and external power sources. The battery operation is suitable for use with a digital SLR camera, which typically does not provide phantom power. A WSVM windscreen is included to reduce wind noise and plosive sounds. For outdoor applications, an optional DeadCat furry windscreen is recommended. The RØDE NTG2 is manufactured in Australia and allows for a free extension of the RØDE warranty to 10 years.
