Yamaha A-S701 Stereo Amplifier.
Good day!
After the old Sony stereo amplifier I got for free from 15-years together with a pair of PIEGA LDS 1.6 speakers 2-way systems 4-Ohm, my amplifier was ready at the end of its time.
So I started looking for a new amplifier, and found this Yamaha A-S701 of mid-range category.
Ordered it and had it delivered. Just one day before this amplifier was delivered, somehow I still had to think about not fulfilling my needs, always used to buy amplifiers of upper class category. So I went to Digitec Shop Basel, and ordered the expensive amplifier also from the Yamaha series, the model R-N803D (network receiver). My mistake is, I am often so interested in looking for something better, that I read everything too quickly, and didn't realise that the Yamaha R-N803D is a receiver, and I don't like receiver amplifiers. The salesman said to me, no problems, I'll order for them, but if the A-S701 comes tomorrow, don't open it in a week, bring it here, pay the money amount difference of Fr.261, and take home the receiver amplifier. Well the first amplifier came, and my old Sony amplifier went completely kaput, so what now wait a week without amplifier I asked myself? But I use a beamer and through the amplifier I have the sound and to be without a beamer for a week, I said to myself. So I unpacked the Yamaha A-S701 and installed it. Wow, the first time I listened to the sound I thought I didn't know my speakers. The sound was great. And I kept on testing until I decided to cancel the other amplifier immediately. Every day, I tested it, and I was more and more satisfied. Of course, the sound could be improved with the purchase of new Yamaha speakers and thought to buy these Yamaha speakers Yamaha NS-777 for Fr.599.- pieces for a total of 2x Fr.1198.- Conclusion, I am very satisfied.Pro
