One of the best tripods in its class!

Light enough to take along on hikes, yet heavy enough to take vibration-free pictures with an SLR (EOS70D) and a telephoto (140-600). The possibility to swivel the centre column offers enormous freedom. The maximum working height is high enough to take portraits of taller people at eye level. The disadvantage of this is that it is still quite long when folded. I find it a pity that you need a screwdriver (or the special tool supplied) to attach the quick-release plates (it comes with two) to the camera. Other manufacturers use tiltable wings on the fastening screw.

    Pro

    • very stable
    • swivelling centre column
    • spikes on the feet
    • Flexible working height (from very low to very high)

    Contra

    • Quick-change plate rather awkward to change

    Buy it by all means!

It's better to buy this tripod than any cheap one. Then you'll have a good one right away. I had a cheap one before. This tripod surpasses everything about the cheap one in terms of workmanship and possibilities to use it.

    200 % recommendation!!!!!!!

    Satisfied

Very nice, close to my expectations, you need a bit of time to understand exactly how it works, I love that it can be very high 1m70. ~ and also the diversity of angles brings you to pretty nice things

    Can do better

This tripod is ideal if you're taking long exposure photos in windy conditions, its weight makes it stable...
However, from a practical point of view, I wouldn't recommend it, it's too big when folded, I can't put it on the
side of my hiking bag and so I have to carry it separately... Plus it's heavy...
Also, the central bar of the tripod is held in place by a plastic part that is not at all sturdy. This part has broken and my tripod is no longer stable...

    Pro

    • Stability despite the wind
    • Handling

    Contra

    • Weight
    • Folded length
    • Not so robust over the long term
