SteelSeries Aerox 5
Wireless
-Short summary-
The Aerox 5 convinces me in all important points such as features, ergonomics and design. It has enough (freely assignable) buttons, freely selectable DPI settings with 5 changeable levels, fits comfortably in the hand with its size and is equipped with appealing LED lighting.
-Features-
The Aerox 5 has 9 buttons. Two of these are for the left and right mouse buttons, one for the scroll wheel, another functions as a DPI switch and 5 more buttons for various functions (such as forward/back in the browser). All 9 buttons can be easily reassigned or equipped with macros via the SteelSeries Engine.
-Ergonomics-
The resistance when clicking is pleasant, all keys give good haptic feedback. Only the (standard) forward/backward keys are unfamiliar at first, as they yield upwards at an angle. The only criticism here would be the long distance of the ninth key. Either it feels too far away, or the forward/back button too close to the thumb. The mouse is very light, which takes some getting used to at first, but is pleasant after a while.
-Design-
In my opinion, the mouse is attractively designed. The grid design is a fresh sight, and it also helps to prevent sweaty hands. The LEDs are sufficiently bright and can be freely controlled via the configuration programme. They irritated me at first because they like to shine out from between my fingers, but they also present the mouse very well.
-Conclusion-
If you're looking for a lightweight mouse that offers freely configurable buttons including a macro editor, is comfortable to hold and enhances or complements your PC setup with its eye-catching design and LED lighting, the Aerox 5 is the perfect choice. Compared to my previous mouse, I was particularly struck by the good configuration programme, which recognises the mouse immediately, installs the latest firmware and is home to many functions. A clear buy recommendation from me.

This review was created for a different variant: Aerox 5 (Cable)
At first I was sceptical as to whether I would be able to cope with the lightweight mouse. And yes, I'm delighted. Super precise, crisp buttons and feels really good in the hand. After many different mice, this is the best I've ever held in my hand.

My husband and I were allowed to test the mouse as part of a product test and are very positively surprised!
It feels great in the hand, is very light and above all the design has convinced us very much! The colour of the mouse changes depending on the settings. We have tested it on the desk wood as well as on a mouse pad and it is super easy to guide! We are passionate gamers and can absolutely recommend it 😊 The price is reasonable for a gaming mouse, although a bit expensive. We give a buy recommendation 😊

I find the gridded surface particularly cool, because it also prevents you from sweating when gaming or working for long periods of time, as it is well ventilated.
The mouse can be connected to my HP Envy via Bluetooth, but also with the included dongle. The laptop recognised it immediately and it was ready to use.
You can customise and programme it according to your needs.
Even though there are certainly cheaper gaming mice out there, the Aerox 5 has convinced me in all points so far and I am happy to recommend it.

The mouse is super fast and light. We tried it out as part of a product test and are thrilled. While I tested it on a "normal" scale (home office), my husband used it as a gaming mouse. He was fascinated by the almost infinite setting options and the battery life. The only thing he found annoying was the weight, which he thought was too low. I, on the other hand, thought it was good because I could take the wireless and lightweight mouse with me everywhere and was not tied to the notebook.
Response time is top and in general this is a high-quality product.
