The device cannot operate the Bluetooth headphones without a Google account. I am quite annoyed about the rape, I had to create a fake account with immense effort. The sound is good, but the forced online account really pisses me off

Overall it's still a very good product and I'm happy Sony produces it, but price increased a lot compared to the NW A55L and user experience decreased in my opinion. Sony should put in the market a software that allows this product clients to fully replace the current one. The NW A55L software was not as intuitive as Apple Ipod (for exemple) but it was far more friendly than the one that came with the NW A306. An "audiophile" walkman should focus on playing hi-resolution music, not trying to do almost everything like a smartphone.

Complicated operation. Why do I need smartphone functions on a Walkman? I want to listen to music and be able to choose which track, nothing more.

This review was created for a different variant: NW-A306 (18 GB)
I didn't buy it from Galaxus but imported it from Japan some time ago. I use it for my 64 Audio Nio IEM and think the player is just divine, what I love most is that it is so small and light, you hardly notice you have it with you and at the same time the sound is just heavenly. The stock Sony player could have more filter options in my opinion and the UI is good but I wish it could be customised more. The inbuilt digital tools and settings to influence the sound of the music are again top notch, you can experiment a lot with them. All in all 4.5/5 from me, I'm now thinking of getting an NW-WM1A for a pair of full-size headphones in parallel with the A306 combo with IEM.

Difficult to find in Switzerland as in France, between stock-outs and complicated delivery times. Officially not available in Switzerland according to Sony's website, but thanks to Galaxus for offering it at a good price.
