    Super HDD

    HDD Perfectly suitable for the private or SME server. !!!! Not suitable for the NAS in the living room or bedroom !!!! Temperatures in my Synology DS1621+ with 6 HDD`s at a room temperature of 24°C in the range around 30°C. With a cache SDD top read / write performance also suitable for 4K video editing.

    • For the bedroom absolutely unsuitable because the read head is clearly audible under load.

    we have come a long way...

    i will never forget the giant furniture in the shop window, good 50cm diameter and certainly several kilos heavy, with the sign: 1 GB.
    and also the amazement about the gigantic 40 MB HD of my buddy remains in my memory...
    today     there are 16 TB helium-filled monsterdisks with 280MB/s read/write speeds...
    i love tech!

    About as loud as a helicopter

    Holy cow is that thing loud. It hums, rattles and clicks without end.

    Thought the thing was broken at first. But apparently that's normal, since this model is intended for use in the data center.

    Otherwise, the HD works     as expected and to have 16 TB of storage space is of course nice.
