Satechi Dual Dock Stand
USB-C, 9 Ports
I have tried various docks and extensions for my MacBook Pro and have now ended up with the Dual Dock Stand. It fits perfectly under the laptop, even on the TwelveSouth Curve, so it doesn't take up any extra space on the desk.
I have inserted a Corsair MP600 Pro NH with 8TB into the NVMe slot. I can easily store large amounts of data there without any more cable clutter.
The speed of the disc at 958 MB/s is OK for an external SSD, even if it's nowhere near the 8153 MB/s of the internal SSD in the MacBook.
I had actually operated the MBP via the display and USB-C, but the device complained and demanded its own power. Now the screen is connected via HDMI and the screen power flows into the docking station and from there into the MBP. I can live with that.

a proper docking station for MacBook (have MacBook Pro 13" 2020), as known from other manufacturers, with main switch and connections. But they are not Thunderbolt 3 or 4 for current models. However, the docking stations with such connections are significantly more expensive.

Think of a power adapter (I use 100 watts via USB c)
