The screen itself is beautiful, but for some reason Samsung decided to use a really cheap power supply for the monitor, which is integrated in the monitor. The result is constant coil whine from the cheap power supply whenever you turn on the monitor. I returned the first one and the second one was the same! Would not recommend at all if you are sensitive to this type of noise.
Edit: The third unit I received after two replacements is working. Changed from 1 star to 4. 1 star off for bad quality control. Otherwise good value.

You get what you pay for.
The brightness itself is ok, but the delta between 0% and 100% is only between 98% and 100%. The Dynamic Display Mode, on the other hand, reduces the picture so unusably that you can't see anything even (!) in complete darkness. The same applies to the contrast.
The huge OSD menu with annoying fade-ins, which you only know from TVs, does its part.
The quality impression was not caused by a DOA, but also not improved.
About the "runtime behavior": Even with the corresponding function turned off, the monitor thinks it has to go out every now and then because it doesn't see enough action on the screen. This happens in the middle of typing and active mouse movement ... aerks
Yes and then ... there is ONE thing that just doesn't work: DMPS on: Monitor sleeps. DPMS off: Monitor continues to sleep. Turning on after that is very erratic, power of/on always does it, but ... what the f, samsung?

The screen arrived fine, tidy and all. But the socket is a German one? For a product sold in Switzerland and to be used in Switzerland? Frankly, it's a bit disappointing,
Fair price, good picture quality, but somewhat less robust design (I always have concerns when I want to adjust the angle of the monitor).
The very thin and narrow frame also makes it difficult to mount a webcam.
The control wheel hidden under the logo is rather an imposition. Blindly feeling the hopefully correct buttons = weak!
Would not buy it again.

The monitor is characterised by a very good value for money.
