    Battery problem on 2 occasions

Unfortunately, bad experience with this mouse, which is a very good MMO RPG mouse as it is. I received the first one and it only lasted 8 hours in Wireless, having fully charged it. The same goes for the 2nd one which replaced the first one I bought.

However, I remain satisfied with the excellent after-sales service of Razer, who have done everything to offer me a solution, until wanting to send me back a new one tested by them, unfortunately the delivery can not be made in Switzerland (from the brand Razer directly).

Also some worries about buttons that "hook, stick".

Maybe the fault of bad luck ... however, Razer remains a very Marketing brand for my part, this is only my opinion.

    For the bin

Firstly, the hardware of the mouse is really great. It looks stylish, it's quite light, it has buttons everywhere, even the mouse wheel has two extra buttons by pressing the wheel to the right or left (really useful) and the mouse feels good.

But my god, the mouse is unfortunately dragged down enormously by the software, the battery and also the big selling point (wireless). For me, unfortunately, for the tonne and for now the last Razer product.

The 2.4 GHz dongle is absolute rubbish. The connection is extremely unstable. Bluetooth works even better and that in a flat where there is only a normal 2.4 GHz Wifi and nothing else. If that's already too much interference, then the feature is unfortunately unusable. Bluetooth is fine, but you can also buy less expensive mice for that. Not to mention the fact that the mouse only has one BT profile for the price. So you can forget about connecting it to several devices at the same time.

The software is...well, Synapse. Stupid spyware that always has to run in the background, with adverts and everything. If the software isn't running, the mouse loses 80% of its functions. Fantastic. The mouse can't even remember the RBG light setting without the software. If the software is not running, the RBG goes straight back to standard mode (which is bad for the already low battery)

And last but not least, the battery...even with very gentle settings for DPI, polling rate and RGB, this mouse really doesn't last long. I was probably too spoilt by a normal office mouse I used to have, which was not much less precise than this mouse with rather moderate settings but lasted weeks on battery. The mouse here might last 3 if you are economical with the settings. Having to reconnect the thing to the cable so often takes the "wireless" away.

All in all, a real disappointment for me. Unfortunately, there aren't many alternatives for wireless MMO mice, but first you have to look around again. I wouldn't buy this one again.

    Mediocre

I don't know how the previous generations were but this is much worse than what I expected based on the hype and reviews.

    Pro

    • Build quality
    • Easy to switch side panels
    • Prob. because of the small battery, charging it is fast

    Contra

    • Unreliable scroll wheel
    • Unnecessarily heavy
    • Auto switching profiles takes a sec and it's bad for quick switching between browser and game
    • Considering its weight, the battery life is a joke

    best in slot

before i write down 20 plus points, which hundreds of others have already done here, a small minus point

and that is: get the pro dongle for convenient drag and drop charging...what is drag. you know.
    if you have to charge
the thing with the default dongle, it becomes quite fiddly to insert the cable because the bulge is relatively low down and you have to hold the cable further back, which means that the
the handling suffers massively. it gets fiddly then.

otherwise, best present for your grandson for christmas (no, this is not an attempt at a grandchild trick)

Versatile mouse with a single-sided battery

I bought the mouse primarily for CAD drawing.

It's fun if the software also works. Otherwise it's rather tedious and nerve-wracking, so I'm already looking around for other options.

It's a pity that Razer isn't able (or
doesn't want to be able) to save an "offline setting" so that their inferior software doesn't have to run all the time.

    Pro

    • Each button programmable
    • I find the fit successful (takes some getting used to)
    • Scroll wheel 4-sided button
    • 3 side panels

    Contra

    • Software-bound (fat minus)
    • Useless without Razer Synapse
