We have a newfoundland dog and wool rugs: a combination evidently wholly unanticipated by the engineers of the CAT AND DOG edition of this vacuum. Vacuuming with this product is akin to driving a manual transmission car without power steering. The canister drags around behind you like wet dead weight and bangs in to everything nearby. Your arms and legs will get a good workout pushing the "power" brush over rugs. And then the "power" brush bristles will be 100% fully clogged with animal hair and no longer rotating or sweeping up fur after each room. Vacuuming now includes scissors - necessary to cut the fur off of the no longer rotating brush. This vacuum makes vacuuming 181% more of a chore and the design inefficiency will triple the time it takes you to clean any room. The cord rewind button is easily set off by the faintest of touch, even if you are in the middle of your newly arduous chore, adding a surprise tedium to your house cleaning. This is the worst vacuum I have ever owned of any brand.

I have had the vacuum for about 2 hours now, the pros/con's mentioned are my first impressions.
I first used the SBD 660-3 floor nozzle, which is suitable for both carpets and hard floors.
The strongest suction setting is a bit too much for carpets, so it's better to switch down 1-2 levels.
The suction power is good and everything is vacuumed up even at the edges and in the corners.
Dog hair and food remains are no longer a problem.
The vacuum cleaner is very loud, even for me as a hearing impaired person.
What bothers me most is the very short suction hose, so if I want to vacuum higher places, such as the top of a chest of drawers or my PC from outside, which is on the chest of drawers, the suction hose is too short.
The shortness is also noticeable when vacuuming through the flat, so that you have the feeling that the vacuum cleaner restricts your freedom of movement.
When vacuuming through the flat, the suction hose is very short, so the vacuum slips behind and around all the time.
I personally find this very annoying.
Then it happened... I'm comfortably vacuuming the flat, suddenly the vacuum is off...What happened?!, I look around the corner and lo and behold, the power cable is no longer plugged in and the vacuum has retracted it again!
How the.... can something like this happen??!
I hope it was just a one-time thing...otherwise I will return the vacuum cleaner.
Well, for +/- 350 Stutz the vacuum cleaner is quite ok.
Regarding the other accessories, I probably won't need them.
The SBD 660-3 floor nozzle is enough for our flat.

Clearly a better choice than Dyson, and not just in terms of price.

I own 3 Dysons but have grown incredibly frustrated by this brand. When they stopped making canister vacuums in favor of handheld, they basically said goodbye customers who have more than 50m2 to clean. Their devices are efficient, but very noisy, heavy, and the batteries don't last long. Also I'm having trouble finding spare parts. This Miele is a total game changer. The build quality is incredible! It makes much less noise and the brushes are super convenient. I will never go back for sure.

When you read through the reviews, you think the thing is really loud. But it isn't. It is exactly what you can expect for the price. Top article!
