I am very satisfied with this keyboard. First of all, it has to be said that the design by Mad Catz cannot be beaten. The software for programming is easy to use and can be downloaded from their website without much searching. The different colours of the backlighting are just brilliant, exactly what I wanted.
The only small weak point:
- In addition to the USB connection for the PC, a power connection is also needed for the backlight to work. However, the keyboard also works without having to be connected to the power supply. The backlight simply does not work.
- In the beginning, the time was always reset (0.00) when the keyboard had no more power. With the latest firmware update, however, this was fixed and now the correct date is also included.
- Even for all the great features this keyboard offers, it still costs quite a lot.
I've had the keyboard for half a year now and it's just perfect for gaming.
It has already been through an involuntary crash test when my 15-kilo PC tipped over onto the keyboard during transport to a LAN party and nothing happened at all. So it will possibly forgive a few rough blows while gaming ;)
Since I have Windows 8, I was a little unsure at first whether the keyboard would run cleanly at all.
But my worries soon disappeared into thin air. Everything works as desired.
Conclusion:
In my opinion, there is nothing to complain about with this keyboard, with the exception of the high price.
So, if money is no object, I recommend buying this keyboard.

First of all, it has to be said: Mad Catz makes the most beautiful peripherals in terms of design. Hats off. The eye-catcher!
Top from the display to the backlight. In contrast to the competition Razer, Mad Catz focuses on individuality here.
I'm not entirely satisfied with the price/performance, but who would have expected otherwise.
Expensive fun.
I had to replace my Strike 7 after a year because the backlight no longer worked properly and frequent keyboard crashes prevented me from playing. But replacement is generally pretty straightforward with Mad Catz! The software was easy to install, apart from the firmware update.(Who the hell gets the idea to hold down key 3 while disconnecting the power cable and the USB cable from the PC under the table at the same time. Acrobats are needed!)
On the whole: a fine specimen!A keyboard of the other world!!!
This keyboard is a MUST for every computer freak!!! You can put it together the way you prefer. I would definitely recommend it!

The design is certainly eye-catching, and the workmanship looks very solid. The keystroke is quite good and the palm rests look rather uncomfortable, but they are exactly the opposite. I have not yet been able to do any further tests.
However, there is a big damper, besides the price: The installation under Win 8 or Win 8.1
ATTENTION Win 8 and Win 8.1 users!!!
With the current software (firmware 2.03, driver and software 7_33_91), installing the keyboard can be a big ordeal. In most cases, the firmware update tool does not work on Win 8/8.1, so the highly recommended firmware update is not possible or only possible on Win 7 or older (if it would work there. For example, it did not work for me either). As with Logitech, when installing the driver, you have to detach the keyboard, install the driver and then you are asked to attach the keyboard again, but the button for "Wieter" is not released.
So far, I have tried various drivers etc. but have not been able to get the keyboard to work properly.
I expect a keyboard costing 329 euros to be able to be installed without any problems on current systems. Therefore, I only give it one star, because I didn't want to buy a 329,- brick and the keyboard is unusable for me until further notice.Pro

A very comfortable keyboard, suitable for both left- and right-handers, because you can assemble it as you like (individual parts).
The hardware is very stable because it is made of metal and very well finished. It is very easy to clean.
The software leaves nothing to be desired, and you can excel in almost all games with it. The macro system is enormously versatile. Suitable and usable for all games. Can certainly also be used for programming, graphics, etc.
I can only recommend it.
