Super mouse. Lies very well in the hand. I can also confirm the whistling noise. You have to hold the bottom of the mouse to your ear to hear it; typing on the keyboard is louder. Therefore thumbs up and 5 *****!
Ergonomically and functionally perfect for me personally, like the predecessors. In contrast to my previous commentator shakesbeer, I find the rough layer on the sides extremely pleasant and have the best grip.
I can confirm the whistling that was mentioned, but only when my ear is close to the mouse. During normal use (without music and with a relatively quiet laptop) or during other activities near the PC, I don't hear anything. However, I can imagine that it is very annoying if you hear it all the time.
Ergonomically and visually OK, precision also good, button arrangement also pleasing, gliding properties I also find i.O.
But it still just looks cheap! For this price, I would have expected a much better feel. The plastic on the side rests (thumb/ring finger/small finger) is hard and rough, the worst plastic I've ever seen on a mouse. It feels bad to the touch and I can well imagine that one slips away because of a lack of grip. Every 15th mouse feels better!
The mouse wheel is also quite wobbly.
This mouse is not worth the money and will probably give up the ghost after 2 years, just like my last two Logitech mice. I am very disappointed in Logitech, unlike in the past, this brand no longer stands for good quality.
The mouse itself would be good but: If you don't move it, it whistles very annoyingly and at a high frequency! You can find a lot of references to this on the internet if you search for "g500s fiepen".
If you can no longer hear high-frequency sounds or never sit at your PC without music, you'll be happy. If you do other things on your PC besides gaming, you will go crazy...
So unusable for me.
two years old - still very satisfying!

The mouse fits me quite well so far. But I haven't tested it for that long yet. But it's been tiptop so far. Offers good additional functions, for example for games. I'm definitely enjoying the mouse, but it's also my first gaming mouse.

Like the G500, the perfect mouse for daily programming.
The free-spinning scroll wheel allows fast, silent scrolling without the annoying usual clatter. Perfect for navigating code and long documents. And if it has to be single steps, you can switch to the old familiar mode at the touch of a button. I wouldn't want to do without this feature!
Due to the additional toggle switches of the scroll wheel (left-right scrolling, useful from time to time), the scroll wheel unfortunately feels a bit lotteryy in the freely rotating mode.
Thanks to the high-resolution optics, you can move the mouse pointer very quickly from the wrist on the one hand, but also position it with pixel accuracy on (almost?) any surface on the other.
The click switches have a good pressure point. The forward and back buttons are essential, I have never used the third thumb button. The weights are unimportant for me, but I find the glides quite good (as long as you keep them clean).
The war paint is a little inappropriate for a professional environment (but not very annoying). The G500 was more neutral.
I can also confirm the high-frequency whistling, but it is only audible when I hold the mouse close to my ear.
