The monitor fulfills its tasks (office work, amateur photo and video editing, amateur gaming, watching movies) impeccably. As expected for 4K, the image is sharp and bright, can be set very bright with its 450cd/cm2. The brightness also distributes itself neatly uniformly on the background. - Backlight bleeding is not an issue in my opinion. HDR works, but due to the Edge backlighting, dark backgrounds create vertical bright bands to expose bright objects.
The speakers don't sound that bad for a monitor, even exhibit traces of bass. The brick-sized power supply is external. Thus, the monitor is comparatively light. - About the design: The frame is thin and modern, the workmanship is good. The operation is also alright. The menu responds nice and fast compared to other LG models.
I connect my Windows notebook via Thunderbolt/USB C port, the gaming PC via Displayport. Both connections work flawlessly with the included cables. Another Thunderbold cable as well as a Thunderbold-DP adapter did not work. Is recommended to use the included cables.
The price-performance ratio is okay, quite an expensive monitor with the latest connectivity options.
Recommendable? Yes, but the LG 32UD99-W is also recommendable and 500.- cheaper.
I still have one criticism: The service of the small repair shop around Zurich is insufficient. Appointments are not kept, communication / information is unknown. LG in Korea is uncooperative, distrustful. LG products are generally not bad, but woe is you have to deal with the support in Switzerland.

cheap thunderbolt 3 cable, randomly disconnects my laptop (macbook M1 2020) from the screen while I'm working... had to go to apple to buy an proginal apple cable for 45 Fr.
If you have this problem, ask Digitec and they will probably give you a cable for free.

Amazing screen with superb colours and resolution!
Used for normal office work and for photo/video editing.
Connection to a MacBook with just one Thunderbolt 3 cable (included) and keyboard/mouse directly connected to the monitor. Power/video/audio transfer with just this one cable. Fantastic setup!
Very good speakers for a monitor. They are super for conf calls: very clear. For music, they lack a bit of lows, but they are definitively better than the majority of other monitor speakers.
Only drawback is that it is not possible to control the speakers volume directly from the Mac. Apparently on Windows this is possible (no way for me to check it).

Outrageous that monitor in this price range is not even a suitable power cable is supplied.

Use the LG 32UL950-W as a display for 2 Mac and 1 Windows computer. The picture mode can be set separately for each picture source. Thus, the Macs can use the DCI-P3 color space and the Windows computer S-RGB. Unfortunately, the automatic source selection does not work reliably. Why you can't add at least a simple adapter (here Schuko to CH plug) to the power cord is beyond me and makes the startup unnecessarily tedious.
