Perfectly adequate for normal PC work. Energy-saving, approx. 4-5 watts and 37 °C in idle state.

So far he doesn't have to do much, so I can't give any information about his performance.

The perfect processor for an office computer: fast, not too warm (the supplied fan is completely sufficient to keep the CPU below 70°C), energy-efficient.
It is also (currently) inexpensive: comparable AMDs are sometimes much more expensive.
Of course, you shouldn't expect miracles here: if you have to deal with computationally intensive tasks on a daily basis in a reasonable amount of time (such as video rendering, compiling, etc.), it's better to go for an i7 or higher.
For everyday office use, however, it's perfectly adequate; you can run Libre Office with all programmes, Thunderbird and Chrome with >20 open tabs at the same time without the processor running hot. However, there should be plenty of RAM in such scenarios.

This processor performs well. For this price, this processor offers good performance. The processor has few cores, but since it belongs to the I3 series, you can't expect more in terms of cores.
