House of Marley Smile Jamaica In Ear Headphones
No noise cancelling, Cable
Bought 3 years ago, now already loose contact. Sometimes I hear only on one side what until I turn the plug a little.
But what has bothered me since the beginning is the choice of material for the cable. The rough surface of the cable creates an annoying noise when it comes in contact with clothes or other surfaces, as the stiffness of the cable conducts the vibration all the way to the ear cups. Since I often listen to music while cooking or eating, the noise that occurs every time the cable moves is distracting.

I'm completely satisfied with the headphones so far, the sound quality can keep up with comparable products from other manufacturers, but the materials look and feel better. I would like an even simpler version without the microphone and buttons, but so far these haven't bothered me either (I've had bad experiences with other brands). I hope my headphones last a long time, I can't judge that yet.
House of Marley has sensible, sustainable packaging, that's for sure.

The headphones look great and I used them every day on the annex. Unfortunately, the sleeves have shifted and damaged the cable. The only solution: cut open the sleeves.

Aesthetic headphones, which are okay in terms of sound quality. Unfortunately, the cable protection no longer serves its purpose. This has never happened with previous models. In general, cable headphones are quite susceptible to breaking quickly. I find them more practical than Blutooth because they don't get lost so quickly thanks to the cable. But it might make sense to change them slowly.

The presentation of the headphones is sustainably designed. The wood gives a nice effect, the colorful cable is also nice.
In terms of sound, however, the earphones are quite poor for their price. The rough cable transmits noise from rubbing against clothes. Sometimes the speakers even crackle. The bass is also less pronounced than comparable products. If you want better sound for less money, you should go for the JBL T110.

The color is not the same as it is displayed. It is a lot uglier. The quality is ok.

I already had the same model in a different color ("Copper" with the white-grey cable jacket), which I enjoyed using for several years. Unfortunately, I misplaced or lost this one, which is why I repurchased it and now decided to go with the "Rasta" color scheme in black + Jamaica flag colors. I like this dark cable sheathing much better, and I'm hoping it's less likely to look muddy from handling. (The white and gray cable sheathing, after a few years, had brownish shadows on the parts of the cable that you touch with your fingers more often during use. Whether this could be cleaned somehow, I do not know).
The earplug parts seem with their material and color combination a bit too motley.
The headphone sound is good, the microphone surprisingly passable.
The contact assignment is my guess according to "OMTP" convention, ie in TRRS order left-right microphone ground, not as with iPhones & co. according to "CTIA" convention (left-right ground microphone, cf. https://de.wikipedia.org/w...) ) Thus, they work with my Fairphone 2 and my Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th generation.

Dear Galaxus logistics team, pack these headphones with a bubble envelope and not in a normal paper envelope! The headphones were promptly crushed in the first shipment and just barely not in the second. The product is sustainable when it only has to be sent once. The environment thanks you. Sincerely, D

The headphones are built great and also look chic. The sound is rather below average, have already found better in the price range. The supplied earplugs are a bit hard and sit with me not so good in the ear, they have then replaced with others and it went better,

Looking for quality, long-lasting headphones? You've found them! I've had them for over 2 years. They still work perfectly!

I bought the Smile Jamaica headphones as a successor to the defective Sony MDR-EX110AP because I wanted to test them. For work (film/sound) I use high-end hi-fi headphones, for travelling I use inexpensive in-ears.
While the sound quality of the Sony MDR-EX110AP is just about okay, I find the Smile Jamaica insufficient. The sound image is muddy, lacking clarity in all pitches. The microphone was rarely used for phone calls, where it was not convincing. The design, on the other hand, is appealing and they are basically comfortable too.
If you are looking for cheap headphones, I can therefore rather recommend the Sony MDR-EX110AP. In principle, however, it is worthwhile to buy more expensive, higher quality in-ears. See models from Sennheiser & Beyerdynamic, for example.

Top headset for this price. The cables make noise when touched. This is not annoying when listening to music, but it is annoying when talking on the phone.

Soilde headphones for the price range!
Super acoustic insulation, noises from outside hardly audible. Very good quality, last 1.5-2 years with daily use.
Nothing to complain about for this price.
Be sure to take out insurance, as the headphones regularly break after about a year.

Wanted:
In-ear headphones for listening to music and making phone calls on the go
Workmanship:
Wood and textile cables basically feel good, but there is some fringing with the drill holes in the wood pieces and the textile cables tend to tangle/knot even more than their rubber cousins.
Sound quality:
Sound is pretty thin and virtually bass-less by default. After some fine-tuning on the equalizer, however, it is quite pleasant with passable highs and lows.
Micro:
The microphones of the usual in-ear headphones are never of particularly good quality, but with this pair I get the feedback from practically everyone I talk to that all the ambient noise is significantly louder than my voice (and I am by no means speaking softly or unclearly).
-> Unfortunately, this makes these headphones completely unusable for me.

Good price/performance ratio
Robust cable, nice design, angle helps, silicon diameter could be bigger. Powerful bass, pleasant treble. In one sentence: why buy expensive ones when it can be a lot cheaper but not necessarily cheaper?
