Positive and comprehensive product evaluation
I'm going to try to be exhaustive here and give a constructive and neutral opinion.
From top to bottom
1. The steering wheel
The steering wheel is really big and only suitable for truck driving. Mission accomplished. The steering wheel is very comfortable and has lots of buttons.
1.2 The steering wheel buttons
At first glance, good quality, well displayed and pre-set for euro truck sim. They give you enormous control over the game and keep your hands off the keyboard once you're in the game. There are lots of them available.
1.3 force feedback and steering
Force feedback is fairly difficult to evaluate, although it is very precise and, at its maximum strength, not very constraining. It's quite soft and will never give you a jolt in the event of an accident or a feeling of being overweight in the truck. In fact, I've never had the opportunity to test a steering system that's so precise and where you can't feel the teeth when you're playing.
2 under the steering wheel
2.1 From left to right, we start with the windscreen wiper control. It works very well and is of sufficient quality for its intended use.
2.1.2 direction indicators
One of the big negative points of this controller is the famous indicators. Just like the cars on the left-hand control, you have indicators, big lights and headlights. Unfortunately, we don't see the difference between the two actions, which means that when we go diagonally, for example up and forward, which on a fresh car would activate the right-hand turn indicators and make a headlight flash. Nothing happens. You have to be in front in the middle or up in the middle. In the corners nothing happens.
2.2 As I've already said, the steering is perfect, but if I had to say one more thing, it's that unfortunately the steering wheel is tilted like it is for trucks, so it's only for trucks. An option to adjust the angle would be perfection.
2.3 On the right, there are a multitude of great options, even if you have the same problem as on the left.
3 the clutch box
3.1 There are more buttons than you need, a real luxury that I particularly appreciated. At first glance, the front end doesn't seem to be of good quality, but once you've attached it to a frame, the impression disappears. All that's left is the handbrake, which keeps the impression of lightness.
3.2 the lever
It holds well in the hand and has 2 buttons at the top and two switches along the length which are great options for 2 handed driving. Let's complain about doing it, but the reverse gear is a problem, you can access it without a detour, which is a shame.
4 the pedals
Very good quality but lack of anti-slip.
All in all, I can only recommend that you buy it, but I would expect the price to be lowered or reduced.Ideal for truck simulation
I've been a Eurotruck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulations streamer on Twitch and Gamer since 2017.
I started with the Gamepade but then with the LogitechG29 + Shifter
Conclusion on the steering wheel: Very light and easy to use with the console. The simulation of the gear shift is also very good.
The force feedback is very intense and can be adjusted via the software and more. My gaming experience was increased 200-fold as this steering wheel resembles a lorry. Perfect for the right feeling for virtual trucker funPro
