For office work usable monitor; for PC professionals but not recommended. Does not stand out particularly from the competition as one is accustomed to the previous Eizo.

I bought this monitor on spec because at a price of only Fr. 357.-- for an Eizo I am very skeptical.
I've bought several Eizo monitors over the last 20 years; tubes in 1998, then Flexscan and CG types. And all of them have
cost in the past years; the last one was a CG245W, so around Fr. 1500 to 2200.--. But they also convinced by quality, material, weight and longevity. The CG245W is still my most important, most used main monitor at the mainstream PC and that since 10 years. And it has lost absolutely nothing in picture quality or performance. And not a single one has ever failed.
It seems that Eizo has adapted to the competition in terms of price and material savings and manufacturing simplification. You can clearly see that in this new product in terms of material, weight, price and design. I'm used to different things from Eizo in the past and the whole Kreti-Pleti price category from 150 to 400 Fr. of the competition didn't interest me at all. As an Eizo owner you are spoiled. Supposedly the thing has 2 built-in speakers. You can forget about them right away ! They only produce very quiet, squawking sounds when you activate the digital sound output on the graphics card and then set it to maximum volume, otherwise you can hardly hear anything. No wonder with those two ridiculous sound output slots it has in the front. I also find the aspect ratio of 16:9 for a PC monitor not exactly exhilarating, that's actually TV standard; 16:10 with 1920 : 1200 is simply better.
Demanding users should go for the CS or even the CG devices. You have something worthwhile in front of you, but you also have to pay a lot more. But you notice that; loudspeakers are no longer installed in this equipment league, they know why. As my mainstream monitor on the most used PC, I could not accept this "little screen". But for a PC in the corner of the hobby room, it's just fine.

    Pro

    • Price; relatively cheap for Eizo, you can't expect everything.
    • for certain people; if white case is important.
    • supposedly 5 years warranty
    • usable picture quality; but not exactly stunningly good.

    Contra

    • unusable built-in speakers; miserable sound
    • Doesn't have as sturdy, hand-tight a case as you'd expect from Eizo.

Nice, sharp, and light (not heavy)

I like to put away my monitor during the weekend and found this one light enough and small enough to easily carry and hide in a closet.
I went for Eizo because they are known to last and have excellent picture quality.
    So
    far I am very satisfied.

    Pro

    • screen leverages practically the entire monitor width (this frame)

    Contra

    • not cheap for a 24 inch monitor, but this applies to all EIZOs
