I bought this screen to replace two external monitors. I'm consultant and have sometimes to work with different laptops. This allows me to have two parallel images on one screen, each side connected to a different computer. And with a small keyboard command (or even bringing the mouse to the middle of the screen) switch the keyboard, mouse and cable network from one to another computer.
The switch of cable network is, in my case, annoying, as I lose temporarily the connection (to remote terminals). It would be great to be able to deactivate network switch on the integrated KVM, or that the network would go simultaneously to both computers.
Other than that, now I've one laptop with one unique USB-C cable (provides power, image, data) and second laptop with same three cables (power + hdmi/image + usb/data).
Keyboard and mouse are connected with logitech unifying to monitor and I can switch from one computer to another with a hotkey defined on the DisplayManager app, or I could use the screen joystick. The switch is relatively slow (5-10 seconds to be able to use on USB-A side, faster to switch to USB-C).
The configuration of the DisplayManager app has to be done on each computer. It would be great that it saves the config on the monitor and reads from there.
The box of the monitor is huge, one large arm can transport it alone for short distances.

Initially I had problems because I could not use the software (Dell DDM) and the USB hub. When I noticed that it needed a second USB cable in addition to the signal cable (power for the hub), I was able to update the firmware and use the DDM software.... However, the adjustment options were a bit too small for me, so I ordered the monitor arm (MSA20), now it fits!
Unfortunately, the USB Unify receiver does not quite work, possibly too susceptible to interference behind the monitor. The mouse pointer jerked and the keyboard inputs were strongly delayed... Therefore, I now operate my MX Master 3 (mouse) and MX Keys (keyboard) neither via Bluetooth, which works massively better.
I swallowed empty when two days later the price was about CHF 200 lower.

As long as I did not have a Dell device that could handle Power Button Sync connected to the USB-C port, the monitor worked perfectly, especially as a KVM switch (2 PCs on one monitor). Now I have received such a business device (notebook) and have the following problems which, according to Dell statements, cannot be solved:
1. in order to use the second PC (connected via HDMI) I have to switch on the Dell notebook (connected via USB-C). The power switch of the monitor and notebook are inseparable.
The device connected via USB-C (notebook) has priority. If the second device shows the lock screen, e.g. after 5 minutes, the monitor automatically switches to the notebook, whereupon a manual changeover (reset) on the monitor is necessary.
This concept is unusable in terms of usability and energy saving.

The display is connected to a 16" Macbook pro M1 with a USB-C cable (supplied with the display) which charges the battery at the same time. The screen resolution (3440x1440) is perfectly suited for graphic and video tasks. Text is displayed very well too. I had a 27" 5K iMac and I don't regret the change. The visual comfort is just perfect and the colours are well calibrated! I am very satisfied with this purchase. :) With the download of the "MonitorControl" application you can control the sound of the internal speakers of the screen from the keyboard. Other than that, nothing to complain about.
