Best worked out during installation! The quality is very good and the operation as well as the hands-free system works well. Listening to music with the phone Samsung "Android" works well with the app except a little quiet:
    Recommended for this price!

    Would buy the radio again

Blaupunkt is actually not really Blaupunkt any more...
Nevertheless, the device convinced me. I previously had a no-name DAB car radio. It had many faults and was already defective after just under 2 years. I compared it
with other brands for a long time (Kenwood, JVC, etc.), but it seemed to me that the Blaupunkt was the most attractive in terms of price-performance ratio. The workmanship of the device made a much better impression when I unpacked it than with the no-name device.

The installation was easy. I already had DIN plugs in my car and could use the existing DAB antenna. For those who didn't have a DAB car radio yet: You cannot use the existing FM antenna for DAB reception. You need the enclosed DAB antenna.

The reception of the DAB radio is better than with the no-name device. However, you must be aware that the coverage and transmission strength is still (?) significantly weaker than with FM stations. And in tunnels, there is no coverage at all, even though coverage has been promised for years :-( Also, the German stations are not received without interruption. However, an FM tuner is also built in, and there is nothing wrong with it. There is a function that automatically switches to the same station on FM if reception is lost (if available). Works with a small interruption, except for Energy Basel. The system apparently does not recognise this as the same station. The sound is clearer via DAB and without noise, but don't expect any miracles. I have DAB more because of the variety of stations (MY 105 doesn't exist anywhere else in Basel) and because of the fact that I can receive the station all over Switzerland. So I can drive from Basel to Geneva and listen to the same station without interruption.

The hands-free system works great, without having to install an additional microphone. Listening to music via Bluetooth also works well.

    Pro

    • Quality workmanship, good sound
    • Everything you need: DAB, FM, hands-free, Bluetooth, CD/MP3, SD card, USB
    • Detailed German instructions

    Contra

    • DAB coverage not yet satisfactory, e.g. tunnels, German stations. But this is not due to the device
    • No track display with Bluetooth. This even worked with the no-name device
    • Switch between DAB and FM must be activated in the settings. Default is off (why?)
    • Can only be installed in cars which have a DIN shaft

The device works perfectly. The DAB reception with the enclosed antenna is very good. The Bluetooth connection also works perfectly. Only the input of a phone number is a bit awkward and cannot be done while driving. However, you can also dial phone numbers from the phone book of the connected mobile phone, which is relatively easy to do. I am very enthusiastic about this product and would recommend it at any time.

    • Good quality
