After 10 years of loyal service from my Asus Rog PG278Q (TN, 3ms, 2560*1440P, 110PPI) I fell for this screen, which ticked all the boxes I was looking for.
I use it 9 times out of 10 in a gaming context.
The responsiveness and contrast of OLED are just fantastic! What a slap in the face.
I was worried about:
1. The curvature, but in the end it's a huge boost to immersion in games. I quickly got used to it and I love it.
2. The definition of 'only' 3440*1440P on the 39" which brings it up to 95PPI (instead of 110 on my previous screen). All in all, I'm not worried about 'image sharpness'. In fact, I see this as an advantage, as having an intermediate resolution means I can keep up my very good performance in terms of frames per second.
3. Size too 'big'. Well, not at all. You quickly get used to it and on the contrary, it covers my field of vision really well. However, you do need to get used to working with the window layouts (there's no point in having your browser displayed over the whole of 21/9). The screen offers very practical dynamic windowing and it's the 25/50/25 that I use most for office work.
In short, I'm totally won over after a good week's use. I get a kick out of it every time I launch a game.
I paid CHF 1099 for it (-50 cashback) and despite the high price, I can't recommend it enough, it's so 'no compromise'. I'll definitely be keeping it for another ten years or so.
PS: If you want to play with the HDR functions, find out for yourself. You won't get a kick out of it. We're a little unused to DCI-P3 colourimetry, which saturates the colours a little. When you switch to HDR, you get the impression that the image becomes 'blander'. This is normal, given that the colourimetry is less saturated. Personally, I did a few tests and finally switched off the HDR function. I love the shimmering colours with the infinite blacks :)

Good monitor
The first week, strong banding. Removed by Pixel Cleaning after one week. Same with flicker on borderless, only minimally noticeable after a week. Improved with Pixel Cleaning, no flicker on gaming full screen.

Bought 3 weeks ago and very happy to retire my two MX 279 from Asus. Bought for 1099.- proud price, but there is not much choice with oled in this size. Can't say how other oled panels behave, but there is no major heat development, lukewarm at most.
