The Power over Ethernet add-on board for the Raspberry Pi replaces the previous PoE HAT in all existing designs and meets all requirements of the IEEE 802.3af (802.3at Type 1) specifications. The Raspberry Power over Ethernet (POE) module is manufactured in the HAT layout and forms a perfect unit with the Raspberry Pi and supplies it with power via an Ethernet cable. You no longer need a separate power supply unit. An ideal solution for embedded and IoT projects where no power socket is available.
