Raspberry Pi Model B

The Raspberry Pi is a credit card-sized computing system. This ARM-based single-board computer impresses with its compact size, universal applicability, and versatile expandability. The new B+ version offers more interfaces and higher energy efficiency. It features a built-in 700 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and a graphics unit. Four USB 2.0 ports, a LAN connection, and an HDMI output provide the ability to easily operate and quickly connect the Raspberry Pi.

The versatility of the Raspberry Pi is further highlighted. Use it as a mini-PC in your living room to play videos in Full HD via the HDMI output, or connect it to additional boards through the GPIO port to implement controls. Instead of a hard drive, the Raspberry Pi boots and stores data using a microSD card, which is inserted through the microSD card slot on the underside of the board. Power is supplied simply via the Micro-USB port.

The new Raspberry Pi Model B+ compared to the Model B offers: higher energy efficiency through switchable voltage regulators (Model B - linear voltage regulators), a microSD card slot (Model B - SD card slot), 40 GPIO pins (pinout identical to Model B, backward compatibility ensured, Model B - 26 GPIO pins), 4 USB 2.0 interfaces (Model B - 2 USB 2.0 interfaces), and a 3.5 mm jack for audio and video (4-pole) (Model B - 3.5 mm jack for audio and RCA socket for video).
