Product details

2.5" hard drives are becoming increasingly popular. Their storage capacity is growing, making them suitable for use in servers. Therefore, ICY BOX now offers a backplane that fits into a 5.25" unit and accommodates four 2.5" SAS or SATA hard drives. The height of the hard drives can reach 15 mm for maximum storage capacity.

Two host connectors allow for the operation of SAS hard drives in dual channel mode.

This ICY BOX operates extremely stably even under very high data throughput. For this reason, RaidSonic particularly recommends it for demanding applications in RAID systems. The temperature control is correspondingly sophisticated. The aluminum housing provides cooling, and the two 40 mm fans operate reliably and quietly. Everything is as solid and secure as one would expect from the proven ICY BOX backplanes for larger systems.
