UPDATE: The fiber installation was defective. After several back and forth with Teleboy's support, they sent out a technician. The fiber link (in the BEP) had been laid wrongly when the previous technicians installed the fiber. They fixed it, and the PON light automatically turned on the device. For the record, here's how to use it with a custom router: - Set the XGS-PON Bridge to bridge mode + VLAN 10 - Plug it into your custom router - Set DHCP Option 60 for the WAN interface to '100008,0001' You should then be able to access Swisscom's splash page Thank you all for the help!

If Galaxus makes the connection via Swisscom, it will work. I have it via Cybernet, which feeds in via Swisscom. However, only one gig is connected.... who can process 10 gig.... because if you don't have the right hardware behind it, 10 gig is absolutely useless. Furthermore, very few endpoints can handle more than one gig.... as this is usually limited so that the available bandwidth is not blocked by a single user.

I have Wingo and had to return mine. The bridge never worked reliably and the performance was massively worse. I then ordered the Zyxel router and configured it as a bridge. Lo and behold, everything was perfect right from the start.

The Zyxel PM7300-T0 is an XGS-PON bridge which is compatible with Swisscom but may require specific configurations. You mentioned that activation took several days and no DHCP options needed to be set, only VLAN 10. This is consistent with reports that VLAN 10 is required for Swisscom, while DHCP options are not necessary in some cases.

First step: check that the PM7300 is in Bridge mode and on the correct firmware version (Swisscom list: https://www.swisscom.ch/content...) V5.42(ABYY1.3)C0. The easiest way to do this is to connect a PC directly to the PM 7300's RJ45 interface, then configure the DHCP 60 option on the router (pfsense) and set it to 100008,0001. After that, you need to call Wingo technical support and ask them for the NSN number. I had to make two calls to find someone who understood my request. Then once everything was configured and connected (OTO - PM7300 - Router) I didn't manage to activate via the Swisscom.ch/start page, but using my smartphone as soon as I connected to the WIFI, the Wingo registration page was displayed. All you have to do is enter the same data as when you installed the IB4 (with the exception of the activation number, which has been replaced by the NSN) and you're done. If you succeed, I'd be interested to know what speed you get. In my case, I have 8 Gbit/s download but only 1Gbit/s upload. I haven't managed to solve this problem yet...

Should actually work, once set you simply get a public IP. But without a firewall. This is usually not recommended for security reasons.

According to their site (https://www.swisscom.ch/de...) it's on, yes. But I don't use Swisscom myself, so I can't confirm whether it does.

Yes it is possible. You can either leave the zyxel MAC, specify the MAC, or have it mirror/passthrough the MAC from the device connected on the LAN side. In my configuration, I have a new router cloning the MAC from the previous SWISSCOM router, and the zyxel is configured to mirror that MAC
