The power supplies are only partially modular from 750W. I am also a little disappointed and am thinking about sending it back, as it was very unclearly communicated.
According to digitec's specification, the network part has 2 x 6+2-pin PCI Express. According to the picture, these (red) are modular. If you look at the Xsilence page, 4 x PCI-E 6+2-pin (GPU) are specified there. According to the instructions, however, these are Y-cables. You can also see this in Youtoube reviews (which are quite helpful with these questions). In reviews about it, you can read that they are Y-cables: "2 PCIe cables with 2 x 6+2pin connectors each".
You must make sure that you insert the 6+2 pin connector completely into the 8 pin socket. This connector is labelled pci-e. The other end with the unbranched 8 pin connector goes into the power supply. Each power connector on your graphics card must be connected.
Yes, the fan only runs when necessary, I also have a 1250w with +- 900w occupied and even then it rarely runs. Which is also good :-)
In this regard, it is best to contact our customer service directly https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/de/requests/new. Then your request can be checked individually.
Very often the fan does not turn when it is under low load. However, if this still happens when the power consumption is high, please contact the Digitec support team.
How much power does your PC draw when idle? If you don't have the ultimate gamer PC, the 850W should easily be enough. Disconnect the graphics card and start the PC - if the NT is still running at full power: Ask for a replacement via customer service.
