The batteries required are 4 ordinary 1.5V alkaline batteries (AAA). charging via USB is not possible. Of course, you can also use rechargeable batteries. For example, the following product (charger incl. batteries): Panasonic Eneloop Basic Charger incl. 1x4 AAA Micro batteries (battery + charger, AAA, 750mAh, 4pcs.)
https://health.nokia.com/us/de/body-plus "Health Mate also collaborates with others and partners with more than 100 health and fitness apps. "
I just did some tests. Doesn't deviate by 100g. So very accurate.
Hi Philipp, everything you need to know about setting up multiple users can be found on the Withings support page (https://support.withings.com/hc/de/articles/218554788-Body-Einrichten-der-Waage-für-mehrere-Nutzer). The scale can be connected directly to the mobile devices via Bluetooth or, what I recommend, via WiFi over your local wifi with processing of the data in the cloud. The data is then immediately available in the Health Mate app on iOS and Android (https://www.withings.com/ch/de/health-mate). The Health Mate app definitely works on the Apple Watch, but you can also sync the data with Apple's Health app. Since I don't own an Android device, I can't give any information in this area, but I don't think it should be a problem. From my point of view, the interaction between the smartwatch and the scale only makes sense if you want to use the Health Mate app from Withings as the basis for your health data. With the above-mentioned release of health data on iOS, the app also takes over the ECG information from the Apple Watch. The highlight of the app, however, is the overview of long-term values, e.g. body fat and muscle mass, which makes much more sense than just looking at body weight. Anyway, from my point of view, it's a great device that definitely works in the Apple world without any problems.
Hello I also had problems with the WLAN connectivity and couldn't solve it. That's why Withings died for me. The best thing to do is to contact the manufacturer via support.
Yes, my Fitbit app shows the weight and other measurements that the Body+ took. I had to authorize this connection. Fitbit will download the data from Withings. You have to have accounts with both.
I have the same problem - either this scale is a complete dud or its obsolescence is planned.
This model will be replaced by the Body Smart model. When will it be available at Digitec / Galaxus?
Unfortunately, we do not have any information on this yet. As soon as the product becomes available for us through our suppliers, we can check a possible inclusion. :)
Yes, so I recommend a simpler scale if you don't want to use an application.

I have never changed them since I have had the scale (2 years).
To set the scale, you need the app. Afterwards you can see everything on the scale However, only briefly, but the app is quite good.
It certainly can. It shows the weight development graphically (on the display or in the app). LG
Can the data also be read into the Garmin Connect app or do I have to buy the Garmin scale for this?
The Health Mate app from Withings can be linked to Myfitnesspal and in Garmin Connect you can then link Myfitnesspal. This works reliably and the weight data is always there immediately. As far as I know, it doesn't work without MFP as an intermediate step.
The scale delivers the information via Bluetooth to the app on the iOS device. The app itself runs without problems on my iPhone.
Hi Since I use my Steel HR Sport alone, I can't answer the question. But a good tip would be to contact Withings support. I did that with my watch and it worked well. Not immediately, but after 3-4 days they get back to you and they are quite friendly and helpful. I'm pretty sure they can answer your questions. I corresponded first in German and then in English. English is faster and more direct. My English conversation partner was called Sherwin or Win for short. Just try it. Greetings Tom
Have you looked in the app? Deactivating the weather etc. is also possible there. Maybe one of the parameters (age, gender, etc.) for the Imepdanz measurement is missing (there are certainly correlations in the background).
Currently, synchronisation with the following standards is supported (according to the manufacturer): WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, compatible with WEP/WPA/WPA2 networks Bluetooth connection (Bluetooth Smart Ready). Firmware updates are possible via app. The current version is from 2018. The connection with the WLAN works very reliably for me. Best regards
At least for the iPhone, the app is called Health Mate. The app records all the necessary data from the scales in the form of a graph. For example, body weight, body fat percentage, BMI, bone weight, muscle percentage...e.t.c. Of course, the APP can do much more. What interests me of course are the successes or failures of my training to be able to track!... (The scale itself shows and calls up, in addition to all this data, the weather and outside temperature at the end, wished me a happy new year....) What more can you expect from a scale?...
In order to configure the scale, it must be connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth, after which synchronisation works via WLAN.
it comes in a Nokia box but the scale says Withings... For me it was like this
I haven't so far. For me, it has always taken a while for the measurement of the body composition to be completed (typically until the display changes from weight to the other information). How long do you stay on it?
Yes, that is no problem :) The scale is connected to the home WLAN and delivers the data to the smartphone at any time.
Weight, fat percentage, water percentage and the weather (outside) are displayed on the scale. In the app, you can also check muscle and bone mass, heart and BMI. Nutrition is displayed, but I see it as a gimmick. I didn't have a Withings before, so no direct comparison. The fact that the scale synchronises via WLAN has advantages and disadvantages: + Fast synchronisation and no Bluetooth connection necessary. - If two people in the family have approximately the same weight, the scale cannot distinguish between them.
Both. See manufacturer's page: https://health.nokia.com/ch/de/body-plus
We offer a 24-month guarantee on this scale. You can register your warranty claim directly here: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/ReturnsAndWarranty
