Hello I suspect that this has less to do with the hard drive than with other factors. The two WD Red Pro drives have been running very reliably for over a year. The first and easiest thing to do is to replace the SATA cable and connect it to another SATA port on the mainboard. If such problems still occur, install this drive in another PC and check again. You should also check the HDD with a tool like Seagate's 'Seatools for Windows'. If necessary, also look for other hard disk tools and check the disks with them. Good Luck & Best Regards Tom
