Yes, there is a programme from WD to copy the data 1-to-1. However, you still need something to read the SSD.

No. This is a 2.5" SATA SSD. The LITEON IT LMT-256L9M is an mSATA SSD. Your SSD could therefore be replaced by the following product: Samsung 860 EVO (500GB, mSATA)

But then you would have to tell us where the power cable should be plugged in, without help it's a bit difficult. The side of the SSD is clear, but where does the power come from?
If the nvme is as expensive and you have a free m.2 pcie slot on your motherboard, then go for the nvme. Otherwise you don't lose much with sata, effectively it's 1% difference for most people.

There should be no problems with the connection type and size of the SSD. With a bit of improvisation and skill, the drive can be almost fully integrated. Especially as it is also relatively fast and inexpensive.

have you possibly already tried to do a bios update of your computer? maybe the ssd will then be recognised?

In principle, you can install this SSD in any device with space for a 2.5" SSD.
With Macbooks, you can upgrade the SSD yourself up to the "Macbook Pro Retina (2012/2013)" version.
This is no longer possible with all newer Macbook Pro's.

Yes, there is, but it is not supplied with the product. It is called "Acronis True Image WD Edition" and can be used to migrate data. However, I don't know how good it is and how extensive the range of functions is.

the hard disk is probably recognised, but widows only shows a hard disk after it has been formatted, until then it is not readable for the system, you can find instructions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch
