You can buy a normal Micro-USB and it works... e.g. InLine Micro-USB 2.0 (3 m)
I can't answer this question because I don't have a Boom 2. I connect Wonderboom 2 with the usual Bluetooth transmitters and it works fine.
Hello Acid-int The IP67 certification defines on the one hand that the device is dustproof and on the other hand that it is protected against temporary immersion in water up to a maximum depth of 1 metre for a maximum of 30 minutes. Of course, this refers to clear water; the protection does not apply to other liquids, e.g. salt water, soapy water, alcohol or heated liquids. In addition, it must be ensured that all covers of the unit are always completely closed so that no water can penetrate.

Could it be the Spotify settings? Try activating the lock screen of devices under Settings, Devices.

connection via bluetooth on the laptop works perfectly - use as a loudspeaker is possible without any problems. from my point of view, nothing stands in the way of 2in1 use 👍
So I don't assume that you got two defects. My boyfriend unfortunately only has the first generation, which is slowly giving up the ghost, so we're thinking of getting this one. He loves bass though, so now I'm unsure if that makes sense if that's the case with all of them. :/
