Yes, mine also got up to almost 80 degrees. Especially the sfp+ modules got so warm. 200mm Noctua fan on it (fits perfectly) braked to 600rmp inaudible and 41 degrees are the result. But yes, with such an expensive switch, it shouldn't get that far in the first place.
*After some research, yes. Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn't say anything about the noise. But the fan only goes off very rarely, so noise-wise it's OK.
As far as I know, the SFP+ module slots can be used, for example, as an uplink port to the next switch or route. It does not establish a direct connection to the Internet via this port. You can also connect end devices such as a pc with fibre optic cable. Or you can use the SFP+ RJ 45 adapter in the same way as a normal prot, but without POE. They do get warm but nothing breaks - the technology is designed for this. I have gained some experience with more than 2 years of operation.
Yes is possible and keep the plate with it. Screws ect, not
According to our supplier, the article with the manufacturer's number USW-ENTERPRISE-8-POE-EU is for the European market and the article USW-ENTERPRISE-8-POE is for the American market.
