In principle, this should work. Approx. 4-5mm, i.e. it is not so good to push something overlapping underneath, e.g. the corner of the mixing console. Depends on your space. Otherwise I would have a look at this one, it is foldable and therefore mobile. Unitek Laptop stand Laptop stand, foldable, aluminium It is also much more compact.

Yes, it differs only in colour. I have both versions (black and white). Pretty much all laptop sizes fit on the holder. A larger laptop just sticks out more on the side of the holder. What is more important is how the edge looks at the bottom of the laptop, as the holder only has small protruding edges. With thicker laptops, the edges may not be high enough and the laptop may slide down.

Been using it with and old thick laptop for a while with no issue. It really depends in shape and thickness. If the front edge of the laptop is not straight, or higher than the tip of the stand, it’s the anti slip rubber that will do most of the work from the bottom of the laptop. If you have a thin laptop it will work perfectly.
