Why is the device marketed as "EU" when it says "Weekly map updates (world) at no extra cost: download the most accurate and latest TomTom world maps wirelessly and effortlessly via WiFi" Does EU refer to the pre-installed maps and can these be replaced with other parts of the world?

Soon European maps but you can add others. I don't remember if you have to buy them the first time, I didn't. The radar service does not work in countries where it is forbidden to report speed cameras, for example in Switzerland. Personally, I find it impractical.

Does anyone know which vent mount can be ordered for this model? Go Discover is unfortunately not listed anywhere, although some of the connectors look similar. Wouldn't want to order the wrong one.

It darkens a bit, but that's not bad. The device is otherwise top I can only recommend. For update you do not even need a PC goes like wifi directly

Yes, it darkens. It takes a while until it reacts. But you can also switch off the function.

I previously had a sat nav where I got the most up to date traffic info with the 2G coverage. How is it now with this one? Will the data volume be used up abroad? What about wheels that are not covered by the mobile phone contract?

In this case, I would switch off the connection. The navigation system works fine even without pairing.

Download made at home, installed in the car and promptly the desired location can be located, but "drive now" does not work - does it really have to go via MyDrive app & mobile phone or is there another possibility?
