Can the controller also be used wired? So without the dongle, but directly connected the USB-C to the computer? I know that the Rait is also available as a wired version - my question is whether it can be used "as well as"...? merci :)

Yes, it just works with the cable.

This controller is apparently battery-powered and not "battery-operated" as described here.

Yes, the controller is battery-powered. It can be charged via USB-C connection.
