Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS
Sony E, full size
The imaging performance is comparable, a little more chromatic aberration, but very similar quality. The AF has not disappointed me so far, but I have not photographed many "fast" subjects. Focusing from near to far takes a little longer, but that could just be my imagination. So far I am very satisfied with the lens, which also delivers top images with the 1.4x converter in good lighting conditions with the a7R IV. The lens is really quite a bit heavier and bulkier than the slim 100-400 GM. Hope it helps, if English is not a problem there are quite a few tests between the lenses to read up on, which made me buy it.
G and GM are the different quality levels of Sony. At the time of Minolta, the higher quality lenses were labelled with a gold ring. Sony then introduced the GM (G Master), which is positioned above the G class. https://www.sony.ch/de/lenses/g-master-lenses I.e. there are normal lenses, then comes the G class and at the top is the GM class. In the early days of Sony E-mount, lenses were produced in co-operation with ZEISS. They then have the blue Zeiss logo on the lens. OSS stands for Optical SteadyShot, i.e. the lens has an optical stabiliser.
Yes it is. That is the body I use. Autofocus is fast and reliable.
According to Sony's promotion page, our proof of purchase can be used with this item: https://www.sony.ch/promo/de/welcome-to-alpha The manufacturer number of this lens is SEL200600G.SYX, the SEL200600G is listed by Sony.
Sure, shouldn't be a problem as the cashback is directly from Sony and the discount from digitec ;-) The cashback promotion at Sony is still running for a while. Greetings
I use the lens with a Manfrotto Element Traveller tripod. Even though I have the impression that it is too small, I have had no negative experiences. I'm glad I don't have to lug around a big and heavy tripod. I use the Mantona Gimbal KII as a head. That is also great. Regarding rain protection, check out the Raincoat from LensCoat. They should be of good quality. A backpack is one thing. What else do you need to have room for? I have the Lowepro Flipside 400 AW. There's simply no room for anything else. If I need more, I have a large outdoor backpack with the Shimoda Core Unit Large inside. The large photo backpacks are quite expensive. I hope I have been able to help a little.

Mine goes smoothly from 200-600, without any noticeable resistance.
Tip: Just buy where it's cheapest if price is the most important thing. https://www.toppreise.ch/preisvergleich/Objektive/SONY-FE-200-600mm-F-5-6-6-3-G-OSS-SEL200600G-p561949?selsort=rd
Of course it fits the Alpha 6000. If you register the lens with Sony you should actually have a 4 year warranty.
Unfortunately, we do not have any more information to estimate a delivery date, as our suppliers do not have this lens in stock either. However, we are happy to clarify this and will adjust the information here as soon as we know more :)
in addition, the lens only cost 1794.- a few weeks ago and there was a 180.- voucher. *rofl* Interesting price development...
Since we have no right to change the prices of the marketplace traders, we unfortunately have no influence on this. We had already addressed the issue, but no one is forced to pay this price and we do not interfere in the pricing policy of other traders.
No. The cashback is always paid out directly by Sony. Otherwise it wouldn't be a good price.
