Can this work with USB C (USB 3.x standard)? I don't have a Thunderbolt and I understand that I wont get 10 Gb/s, but theoretically I can get 5 Gb/s.

yes it works, but only for 5 minutes with 2.5 Gb, than that device got hot like an small pizza oven, you nearly cannot touch it, than speed dropped down to 500mbps. My current 1 GB port is more stable and much more reliable. Its a pity that this Sonnet does not work well in my case.

Is the adapter compatible with a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port? All the designations of the different generations are the last scrap! -.-

I run the part on a Macbook Air M1 with about 8Gb/s Apple adds USB 4 to the USB-C ports... who knows what the chaos is about

I have an HP OMEN Desktop PC 30L GT13-1000i computer with the product number: 43B48EA#UUZ. I have installed the Windows driver but the adapter is not recognised by Windows. Does anyone have a tip for me? Thanks in advance.

Hello I'm not sure I understand something, I connect the Solo 10G to the usb-c on the motherboard and the Rj45-c to the 10G box on the drivers I suppose. I'm not sure what to do. Thanks

It's not USB-C, it's Thunderbolt 3. If your PC doesn't have a Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB-C port it will never work.

Maybe someone can give me some information: I got the adapter today, and everything works fine so far. Now during the speedtest (Ookla Speedtest app on the Macbook): 2 flat white "Swisscom" long cables, one with yellow plugs, the other with red. I don't know what exactly these cables are, but I don't think they are Cat 6 (due to their age). The 3rd cable I used was an old Cat 5 (not 5e, 8 wires inside) cable. Results with all cables and several speed tests: approx. 7.5 Gbits download, approx. 1.5 Gbits upload. How is this possible? The cable is connected directly to the router at the 10 Gbits port... Even in the browser, I get about 1.5-2 Gbits when downloading, no matter which cable I use. However, if I connect the cable and the adapter to the 1 Gbits port, I get 980 Mbits. Somehow it's all a mystery to me. Or is there a logical explanation for this? Maybe it's the adapter that "boosts" the slow speed (but makes no sense in my eyes)?

You will never get the full 10Gbit in practice, so it fits with the 7.5? And I don't quite understand the 1Gbit, 980 is close to 1000Mbit - so it fits too :) PS which provider?

Can you put it in a 2020 Macbook pro 16" with 4 USB-C ports? I have a Salt connection and it can go up to 10 Gb/s is that what it is for? Do you have another device like this cheaper or is this the only one?

Does this adapter need a driver under MacOS 10.15.x Catalina? I could not find any information on the product homepage...

This TB3 10G Base-T network adapter runs with macOS 10.15 without extra driver installation. At this point, I would like to point out that the device gets quite hot during operation and draws around 10 watts, which is very noticeable when running on battery power.
