This lens would be perfect for the Alpha 7C. But certainly not at this price. You have to wait another year until the price drops to a normal level. It's always the same with new Sigma lenses in Switzerland.

In Germany this lens costs 849 euros incl. 19% VAT and so CHF 1255 incl. only 7.7% VAT is just that. Profiteering. I can't put it any other way. I don't know what the Swiss importer (Ott and Wyss in Zofingen) is thinking. What a pity. By the way, I bought my first two Sigma lenses in 1986. I really like Sigma and their products, of course. It's the same with Tamron, by the way. They are imported by Perrot in Biel. You always have to wait a few months until the prices become normal. Thanks for the info about the recall. I didn't know that yet.
The price is right. That is the (once again) absurd RRP of the importer. Digitec can't help that. The 24-70 has been on the market for some time and the price has dropped. It will probably happen here soon too. At this price, it will be a slow seller.
Yes, this is the Sony-E mount.
No, this is for L Mount. There are no third-party lenses for RF Mount.

That's not really a question. That's why I can only give you the tip to wait and see. In six to nine months, the price will have dropped to 950 francs. I am sure of that.
