15.06.22 - I would like to make a comment rather than a question here. I could almost be sure that until recently the Sigma 16-28mm F2.8
was listed at 990.-. Now with 1249.-. I have often noticed that certain Sigma lenses have bigger price differences.
For example, I ordered a Sigma lens a few months ago (not from Digitec because it was not available). According to the supplier, it was available from stock.
The next day I got the message that there were not enough in stock, but I could have one from a new delivery with a surcharge of 150. I did not buy the lens. When I compared the prices of another Sigma lens, I found a price difference of 31%. Both
offers were marked as "Swiss dealer Sigma" with the black Sigma card included.
If you compare prices with, say, the USA, they are usually not lower than in Switzerland, or if they are, then only a small price difference.
The Sigma 16-28mm F2.8 can currently be ordered in advance for 899 USD. This is a price difference of no less than 40%.
Leica/Lumix has entered into an alliance with Sigma for L-mount cameras. I actually think that's a good thing.
However, I cannot understand what is currently happening with the prices, also in relation to the current global economic situation. - :-(
