In general you can use any hard disk in a NAS, of course the NAS suitable disks are recommended, but if you also use a good backup concept and a RAID 5, then it is less of a problem that they are not NAS disks. The only disks that broke in my case were NAS disks, but it is not a question of whether they will break, but only when. I would, however, take Seagate Barracuda 2 TB if the price is right. Hello Pgonline I also had a BarraCuda 7200.12 but in a PC. It worked for me with the new BarraCuda and still works perfectly. Unfortunately, I can't say how it is in connection with NAS. Greetings and good luck. B.E.
