SanDisk Professional Pro-Dock 4
Thunderbolt 3
SanDisk Professional Pro-Dock 4
Thunderbolt 3
According to the manufacturer, the dock should be "Windows 10+" compatible and thus work fully with both Win 10 and Win 11. Perhaps someone could share a direct experience.
At the moment there are no SSD slots like SanDisk Pro Blade or even NVE SSD adapters, hope that something like that will come from SanDisk.
According to the manufacturer's website, the dock should have a 1Gbps Ethernet connection. The docking station does not directly support a NAS function (it is not a storage medium). A storage medium connected to the dock could perhaps support the function. According to the suppliers, One Touch Backup should be possible, provided that this is configured accordingly in the software on the NAS/USB. However, I must emphasise that the button on the front of the dock is only for media ejection and is not intended for backups. The dock has no storage of its own and also no integrated media player. Pictures/videos can therefore not be displayed directly via DisplayPort. We do not have any exact information on the supported formats. In principle, these would be all those supported by the connected media and host devices. The maximum possible resolution via DisplayPort should be 8k according to https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/31837. Please also note all details, e.g. on the restrictions for Mac host devices. Unfortunately, SSD/HDD and XQD slots are not available for this dock.
The scope of delivery only includes The Pro-Dock 4, a power plug cable and a Thunderbolt cable. These up to 4 ProDock Pro Reader slots must be purchased separately. A Pro Reader costs between approx. 100 and over 200 francs extra, depending on the model: https://www.digitec.ch/search?q=pro%20reader%20sandisk
In general, the dock should support a maximum of 2x4k when connected via Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort, according to https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/31837. The manual for the device states that the dock should also support daisy-chain via Thunderbolt 3, but without any more specific information about the resolution.
