The problem with this model is availability, which is so poor that the price is so high internationally.
However, a cheaper alternative would be this card with just under a third of the read/write speed.

According to the technical data on the Insta360 X3 website, the requirements are speed class UHS-I V30. This card fulfils both and should therefore be compatible.

Yup, the SD works perfectly with the Hero 8 Black. 32GB - 256GB are recommended according to the manufacturer, below or above that you should supposedly not use. But I have no experience of this myself. (I have the 128GB and the 256GB myself).

It is correct that the read rate is faster with the cheaper version. The price depends on our purchasing conditions, although we can currently also purchase the cheaper version at better conditions.
