Messages are only displayed briefly at the moment they arrive together with the message tone, after which the display disappears again immediately. That is a disappointment for me. So the " hole is actually for nothing. Even if you want to see the time and date, you have to open and close the cover every time. I now use a different cover.
Yes, it works. However, I have the impression that it is slightly slower than without a cover.
Yes, when the cover is folded down, the opening is right above the camera lenses (and LED).

The viewing window should be open so that you can still operate the device, such as answering calls etc.
