Question about Samsung Clear View Cover

Messages are only displayed briefly at the moment they arrive together with the message tone, after which the display disappears again immediately. That is a disappointment for me. So the " hole is actually for nothing. Even if you want to see the time and date, you have to open and close the cover every time. I now use a different cover.
