yes everything works fine
I cannot answer this question completely as I am only a user. This keyboard Samsung Book Cover Keyboard (CH, Galaxy Tab S7 11.0 (2020), Galaxy Tab S8), is fully compatible with my tablet S7 or the S8. There are other variants that are also compatible, "MagoFeliz Illuminated Keyboard with PU Cover and Touchpad" (Amazon), also compatible is the keyboard Samsung Book Cover Keyboard Slim EF-DT630 for the Tablet S7. It seems essential to me that these are 11" tablets, so that the cover that comes with the keyboard closes/ fits neatly. Some of the other tablet models are larger than 11". I would always recommend this Samsung Book Cover Keyboard case, because it is lighter, more precise and faster, easier to handle than the other variants, but does not protect the edges of the tablet as well. The "MagoFeliz" is very suitable if you work a lot in the semi-dark, dark and it protects the edges of the tablet best. However, it is the heaviest book-cover keyboard for 11" tablets.
Contacts cleaned? Have you tested the cover on another device? If neither works, the cover is probably broken.

For that, you first have to press the "^" key on the CH keyboard and then the "e". Then the "ê" comes out.

The cover sticks magnetically to the tablet and holds very well. The keyboard also holds magnetically and with contact pins. The construction is very solid and of good quality. I would recommend it to others.

You would have to make the following settings, then it should work. I also had this problem:
Settings -> General administration -> Language and input -> Keyboard -> Standard keyboard (or something like that) -> then click on the cog when selecting the keyboard -> and then the selection should appear where you can change the language.
Please scroll down and select Swiss German QWERTZ, then it will work...
